Mirosław Gumularz
Doctor of Laws. Legal Counsel.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. A graduate of the American Law School organized by The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He also completed postgraduate studies in "Evidence Law" at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University and postgraduate studies in Intellectual Property Law organized by the Department of Intellectual Property at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University.
Internal auditor according to ISO/IEC standards:
- ISO/IEC 27001 (information safety);
- ISO/IEC 27701 (privacy information management);
- ISO/IEC 22301 (business continuity).
Lecturer at postgraduate studies in the protection of personal data organized, among others at Univeristy WSB Merito in Poznań and Warsaw.
Author of numerous publications in the field of new technologies law, incl. in the field of personal data protection and services provided electronically, including commentary to the act on the provision of electronic services and the act on the protection of personal data (of May 10, 2018) and Data Service Act (DSA).
As a pro-bono advisor for the protection of personal data at the Ministry of Digitization, he participated in the work on the implementation of the GDPR into the Polish legal system. In terms of his professional and scientific practice, he specializes in broadly understood new technologies law (including personal data protection and e-commerce). He also dealt with the protection of personal data as an Data Protection Official in technology companies employing over 500 employees.
In the year 2023, he was nominated by one of the parliamentary clubs to become a candidate for the position of President at the Personal Data Protection Office. Legal advisor at NewTechLaw.eu Ltd.
